A campaign may be used to address a particular usability issue and collect and analyse feedback about it.

A participant is your customer or website visitor that agrees for an interview. We have chosen to call them participants as they participate in your campaigns in a more involved way; as opposed to respondents who respond to a survey in a more passive manner.
A Visitor Segment is a group of customer or website visitors who match the attribute filters defined by you.
